Mike Wolf, a resident from Bayview on Puslinch lake is a firefighter at the same station as Rob Connor. Mike heard the story of Rob needing a kidney and felt compelled to reach out to him and inquire what was involved in order to get tested about being a potential match. 

And he was a match.

Breaststrokes Team on the Lake

You may have heard the sound of the drum or seen the long filled with paddlers clad in red this summer on the lake. That energetic and dedicated group of paddlers that paddle around the lake on Tuesday and Thursday evenings are the BreastStrokes Dragon Boat Team.

Float Plane Fun Facts

Did you know Puslinch Lake has a Federally registered Sea Plane Base? When Ron Harper applied and achieved a seaplane base approval in 2009, it allowed him to enjoy his wonderful new love and passion, but also added some interesting benefits to us as a community also, beyond the enjoyment of watching the float planes take off or land.

Making an Impact in Romania

Pas Cu Pas means Step by Step in Romanian and is the message of Impact Romania, an organization that has just sent a team for the 20th year to support efforts in the developing country of Romania, which included Rachel Hussey, one of our local residents. She was a part of an enthused team of young adults fulfilling a dream to passionately make an impact working in the orphanages there.

Ski Success Story

Jamie Calhoun knew by the age of 10 that his parents would allow tubing and knee-boarding fun once a full skiing set and practice took place. He has won 5 national titles consecutively and is ranked 3rd place in the under 21 categories in the world. He has begun to do some international competing and will go to Worlds (Worlds happens every 2 years) that is being held in Edmonton, Alberta in July to compete.

Remembering Bob O'Krafka

This past spring our lake community lost one of its long term residents, Bob O’Krafka on April 26th, 2019. Bob was a huge contributor to the lake in many ways, including offering his pontoon boat at the Home tour for many years, until he decided it was time for the younger guys to take it over :). His commitment to the dredging project was consistent and supportive. He will be deeply missed for his quiet leadership and evident love for our lake community.
